The Acoustic guitar player plays an important role of adding a percussive rhythm to the band, as well as carrying a song during quieter moments.

Why does this Role Exist?
This role exists to:
- support and endorse the vision of Senior Leadership and Creative Pastor.
uphold and promote the culture, core convictions and positive name of Life Church both within the church and the community.
support in every way possible the smooth running of Life Church services.
advance the cause of the Gospel of Jesus

Mid-week Responsibilities
- Learn and rehearse songs for Sunday.
- Maintain gear (ie. replace guitar strings if they are old and rusty)
- Learn and memorise songs and all parts with a metronome (We don’t use sheet music on stage and we play along to a click track for all services)
- Attend rehearsal if there is one (communicated by the MD)

On Sunday
- Arrive to soundcheck 15 minutes early to bump in, set up gear, tune up and be ready for team prayer
- Once you've set up - start helping other Musicians or Production team.
- Follow MD’s instructions during rehearsal to help ensure a smooth run through.

What Gear is Required?
- Acoustic Guitar (There are many great brands available however the guitar will require an electronic pickup in order to plug into a DI - see below).
- Tuner - Either in pedal form (TC Electronic Polytune, Boss TU3) or a clip on tuner with spare battery’s.
- Cable 10ft instrument cable to plug in to a DI
- Guitar capo for songs that require it.
- In ear monitors - We use in ear body packs to hear everything on stage, no Foldback wedges. We recommend the Shure SE215 to start off. These use a 3.5mm jack. No headphones such as Beats by Dre etc
