Our Music Directors (MDs) work alongside our Worship Leaders to manage and direct our Sunday worship. As the MD you manage the band and liaise between Worship Leader, Vocal Director, and Production Director to ensure we have the same vision for the service.

This role exists to:
- support and endorse the vision of Senior Leadership and Creative Pastor.
uphold and promote the culture, core convictions and positive name of Life Church both within the church and the community.
support in every way possible the smooth running of Life Church services.
advance the cause of the Gospel of Jesus
Mid-week Responsibilities
- Connect with WL and SL to discuss vision and direction for the service as well as any change to the arrangement of songs
Contact band to pass on any changes arrangements and to confirm Sunday roster. Communications should also go to the VD so they can communicate to the vocals team.
Organise and run any midweek rehearsals
Any new tags or song changes must be confirmed by the Creative Pastor and must be put on the Elvanto plan.
Check through Elvanto plan and make sure you know the flow of the service. We are part of a bigger picture.
Plan transitions between the songs, as well as what the band should play during hosting time.
Learn the flow of each song so you are ready to lead the band during rehearsal and the service.
On Sunday
Organise between yourself and the WL & PD, for one of you to bring a devotion and run prayer meeting.
Give a run down of the service with team after prayer
Run soundcheck alongside Production
After soundcheck, touch base with the Service Pastor team to clarify flow of the service and what the requirements of the band are.
Direct the band during the service
Relay any signals from the worship Leader to Band on the go
After the service attend a short debrief with WL/SL and Creative Pastor. Also attend the Debrief with the Service Pastor
