Youth South

Friday Night Youth is for High Schools students who have commenced Year 7-12 this year.

We open Friday Nights to Year 6 in the later part of the year. If you are a parent of a Year 6 student, please fill out the form below and we'll get in contact to let you know when your child can begin to attend Life Massive.

Our Sunday Boost program is for students who have commenced Year 5-8 this year

All of our Life Massive team are trained and have a current Blue Card (Working with Children Safety Check).

In line with our Child Protection Policy anyone over the age of 18 who intends to visit the program needs to contact our church office before arriving at one of our programs.

Sign In opens at 6:30PM with our main program running from 7:00 - 8:30PM.

Students should only arrive before this time if they are assisting on a team.

PLEASE NOTE: Students who arrive before 6:30PM and are not serving are not supervised. Once a student is signed in, they must not leave the premises without first gaining consent from an approved Life Massive Leader & Parent/Guardian.

Yes you can!

Being a part of a Life Church team is a great way to have to discover your purpose and and connect with others. You can join the Life Massive team in two different areas:

1. Events Team

Our events team brings life and provides support to our students and families each week with setup, security and general support.

2. Kitchen Team

Each Friday we offer a nutritious meal option for students which is cooked up by some of our amazing parents! Our kitchen opens at 6:30pm and gives our students the option to have dinner on site in a safe environment.

Dinner options are on a rotating menu and designed to make it easy to drop your children off for Youth without also needing to rush to cook dinner.

3. Prayer Team

Every week we have a team of amazing parents that get together in one of our meeting rooms on site as Youth is happening and pray for our service! We'd love for you to join us as we pray for our young people!

All of our volunteers are required to hold a Positive Working With Children Check (Blue card). If you are interested in either of these areas please email sandy@lifechurch.com.au

Our Friday Services run during the school holidays!

We take a 5-6 week break over Christmas but during the term Youth is still happening. These are sometimes off site social nights or full services to make the most of the extra time in the holiday break.

We communicate our dates for the term in our quarterly newsletter which you can subscribe to by sending an inquiry in at the bottom of this page.

For 2024 our services end on Dec 6

Each week can look a little bit different. Sometimes we run a typical service, a games night, a larger event, movie nights, theme nights, or go to or host special events.

Generally an average Friday looks like this:

6:30 PM - Sign In Opens

For about 30mins we have hang time! We have two full-sized basketball courts which we use to play football, pickleball, 9 Square, basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, or any other mix of sports and games.

During hang time you can grab a meal from the kitchen, sit and play on the PS4 with your mates, challenge each other to UNO or other board games, or hang out with arts and crafts. There's something for everyone to do.

Our team of Youth volunteers would love to meet you and connect you with a few other teenagers your age to get to know them during hang time!

7PM - Service Starts

Our favourite part of the night is the service! Each week can change a little bit but usually the flow is something like this:

-A game or fun segment
-Praise and Worship
-What's coming up that you need to know about
-A bible-based message
-A closing song

The service goes for about an hour all up

8:00PM - Crews!

Every two weeks of so we hang out in our age groups at the end of the service in our Crews! Crews are 10-15 people hanging out, eating snacks, and talking about what's going on in our lives and praying together. Our best friends are the people in our crews.

8:30PM - Pick up time!

Following crews there's a period of hang time at the end where you can get some food if you missed out at the start, finish that game of Exploding Kittens, or try to get back into the "King" space of 9 Square!
